 "description": "<DIV STYLE=\"text-align:Left;\"><P STYLE=\"font-size:16pttext-indent:19.2;margin:0 0 0 0;\"><SPAN><SPAN>The abandoned water device layer is a point feature class that contains information about devices that are still on the ground but not in use within the water distribution system of the City of Houston, Texas.<\/SPAN><\/SPAN><\/P><P /><P STYLE=\"font-size:16ptmargin:0 0 0 0;\"><SPAN><SPAN>The locations and attributes of the abandoned Water Pipe dataset are digitized from the Plan and Profile Engineering drawings that come from the following sources: Block Map, As-Built, Field Verified with Control Number, Taps and Meters, Metro, Field Verified Fire Department, Field Verified Fire Line, Construction Drawing (Layer), Fire Department, and Capital Improvement Project. <\/SPAN><\/SPAN><\/P><P /><P STYLE=\"font-size:16ptmargin:0 0 0 0;\"><SPAN><SPAN>The GIS Services Group of Houston Water, Houston Public Works currently stores and maintains the dataset in a Relational Database Management System. <\/SPAN><\/SPAN><\/P><P STYLE=\"font-size:16ptmargin:0 0 0 0;\"><SPAN><SPAN /><\/SPAN><\/P><P STYLE=\"font-size:16ptmargin:0 0 0 0;\"><SPAN><SPAN>Geospatial or map data maintained by the Houston Public Works for informational purposes and may not have been prepared for or be suitable for legal, engineering, or surveying purposes. It does not represent an on-the-ground survey and only represents the approximate location of these assets.<\/SPAN><\/SPAN><\/P><DIV><P><SPAN /><\/P><\/DIV><\/DIV>",
